Lexmark partnership launches to a great start!

This new partnership offers tight integration between the web user experience and and the existing back office document management, capture, imaging and search systems that Lexmark Enterprise Software provides its customers.

We were at the Lexmark Inspire Conference in Washington DC last week, launching the new Perceptive Content Portal product - which delivers online forms and dynamic, mobile first access to content held in Lexmark's flagship 'Perceptive Content' Enterprise Content Management suite. To our amazing surprise, we won Partner of the Year - which made the conference even more special than usual!

The partnership with Lexmark will provide existing Lexmark customers and partners with unique value, enabling them to make significant strides in end user experience, customer service and efficiencies through digital transformation.

Almost all large or public sector organisations invest heavily in their back office document management, workflow, search, scanning and imaging systems to deliver the core back office requirements, and this partnership expands this capability into the front office, linking the end user with easy access to their documents and an ability to interact with the organisation via the online channel whilst still leveraging existing strong back office workflow capabilities.

As you might know, Lexmark are one of the market leaders in Print workflow, document imaging and capture. So document management systems, which are significantly used in Planning, Housing, HR, Finance, Revs and Bens within a Local Authority can be fully integrated with the customer facing web through the 'Perceptive Content Portal' which is available to customers over mobile and touch devices.

Jadu has already started working with a number of existing Lexmark customers and we are excited to be able to offer the same value to Lexmark's UK and European customers. Jadu customers can also benefit from Perceptive Search - a powerful enterprise search platform. Perceptive Search makes discovering content easy and intuitive - something our Intranet customers will find of huge value.

The problems that we solve:

Firstly, in the context of a complex paper form where a customer needs to attach copies of evidence, photographs etc, the normal scenario is that the customer has to call into an office to collect a form or be posted a form to complete. This takes time and is not always convenient for the customer.

Secondly, the organisation has to pay for costly print runs in advance and when the forms change because of legislation, the forms need to be printed and re-distributed again. Just in time printing, driven by touch screen interfaces linked to the back office content repository and associated Lexmark print devices can negate this costly exercise.

Thirdly, when a customer posts forms with evidence and attachments, these then need to checked, scanned or re-keyed into back office systems. The delay that this can cause is not always convenient to the customer and is a poor experience in most cases. The documents then need to be scanned and stored digitally or worse, filed in physical storage and archived - at great cost.

Here are some high level points:

  • SEAMLESS FRONT TO BACK OFFICE: Digital forms on the organisations website directly into Document management: Because the 'Perceptive Content' document management system is fully integrated to 'Content Portal' - customers can simply fill in forms on any web enabled device, take photos of any evidence required and submit directly into the back office processing workflow. No re-keying and the transactions are in real-time. The back office document workflow can then also immediately update the customer on status and also provide digital copies of any form submitted through a 'personal account' (the portal).
  • PRINT ON DEMAND: hundreds of mandatory paper forms can be printed on demand using a tablet directly through to Lexmark on demand printers. Saving substantial costs by replacing paper form production (for these forms that cannot be digitised because they are controlled or require wet signature). 
  • DIGITAL CUSTOMER SELF-SERVICE: Using the Perceptive Content Portals MyAccount functionality, customers can be provided with secure access to content held in the document management systems on their phones and tablet devices - opening up service delivery, transactions, payments and online forms through Kiosk, touch screen and over the internet in an 'app-like' experience.
