Moving from a legacy CRM system to a modern, self-service, fully automated digital platform.

New garden waste service

Starting with their new garden waste service*, Lichfield District Council (LDC) launched a fully integrated an automated digital platform using Jadu’s CXM system integrated with Bartec Systems, a Waste Management company.

In the first 4 weeks LDC:

  • Signed up 25,000 garden waste customers online generating over £1m in sales.
  • Signed up 82% of customers online, providing a robust platform for future channel shift.
  • Launched a series of back office CXM processes to support all telephone waste enquiries – these are now being rolled out to customers to self-serve, including integrated missed bins and bulky waste collections.

The Jadu platform also includes a 'MyAccount', a resident login function allowing them to access, pay-for, save forms and track their services on any device.

They have received four stars and been identified as an exemplar of good practice by SOCITM including the ease of the use of the service online in the recent Better Connected review of UK councils’ online garden waste services.
