Jadu helps Rossendale Council achieve a dramatic improvement in online services

Rossendale Council, one of the fastest improving Councils in England, has revolutionised its online services thanks to a winning partnership with Jadu. Using Jadu services, Rossendale has dramatically increased its CPA performance rating and its online facilities for the public.

Rossendale Borough Council recently became one of only two Councils in the country to have ever increased its Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) rating from 'poor' to 'good' in just one audit. The CPA inspection measures how good district Council's across the country are. Rossendale Council recently rose from being in the poorest category to being in the second best category out of five.

The Council's websites, which are provided using Jadu's web content management systems, were examined during the CPA inspection and were praised for the role they had played in improving customer service at the Council.

According to the CPA, the Council's website is accessible and regularly reviewed and updated, enabling a wide range of its services to be available to the public all day and every day. This investment in equipment has not only benefited the Council but also the community.

Jadu supplies Rossendale Council with a range of systems, including its enterprise web content management system (Jadu CMS) and its CMS delivery platform Galaxies, which enables the Council to publish information online and achieve compliance standards quickly. Key council services that have already moved online using Jadu's Local Authority specific products include planning applications and services, council tax information and tourism services.

More recently, Rossendale Council has purchased the Jadu Xforms Professional e-forms system, which will enable its customers to gain access to a wider range of self-service information and council services.

"We needed the ability to move information across service areas quickly and easily and we knew we had to improve our overall online performance.
