Rossendale Borough Council Joins eGovernment Partnership

September 1st 05 - Lancashire. Rossendale Borough Council become the fourth East Lancashire Authority to join the Jadu eGov Partnership and surge ahead in the race to implement the Priority Outcomes.

In a brisk 8 week implementation, Rossendale Borough Council are about to re-launch their web site with an entirely devolved Enterprise Content management system, powered by Jadu eGov Content Server.

The implementation, due to conclude on September 20th with the Go-Live of the new site, will be the fourth in the East Lancashire area - with neighbouring Ribble Valley, Pendle and Burnley Councils all having implemented.

Paul Johnson, Local Authority Delivery manager at Jadu said: "The implementation of Jadu's enhanced A-Z will mean that four of the five East Lancashire partnership authorities will have the ability to publish their highly enhanced A-Z of services as XML documents - enabling out-of-the-box integration with the Lancashire Joint Contact Centre, which has implemented SX3's CRM solutions".

Jadu's new eGov A-Z provides 'one-stop' access to services through the A-Z. Through a number of clever techniques, the A-Z within Jadu eGov intelligently maps all relevant content such as documents, files, FAQs, online forms etc and displays them on a single A-Z page.

Burnley Borough Council, first to implement the enhanced A-Z, have already gone live with the Joint Customer Contact Centre - and use Jadu's A-Z functionality to facilitate their CRM system - which now simply links to the CMS.

Suraj Kika, CEO of Jadu said: "Jadu is now so much more than CMS. We have engineered it to provide everything a local authority needs to run an efficient, intelligent web based information management system. The Jadu A-Z is the crown jewel of Local Authority web based technology and it is one for many defining features that make the Jadu eGov CMS stand alone in the market."

Rossendale Borough Council will be implementing the Google Mini search, integrated into the Jadu eGov CMS system by Jadu as soon as it was released in the UK.

"The Google Mini search provides the Worlds best search tools - and it makes for a very powerful combination. The Worlds finest eGovernment CMS with the Worlds best search."

"What's coming up in our roadmap", Suraj explained, "...is a number of new upgrades, features, modules and integrations that will make Jadu eGov partner authorities the best websites in the country. Watch this space."
