Setting up connectors

In order to transmit the created file to another system, XFP makes use of connectors. A connector is essentially a set of connection details for the target system. These can be SFTP, FTP or SCP credentials, or just a folder on the current system if you do not wish to transmit the file elsewhere.

Creating a connector

There are two ways to create a connector:

  • When creating an Export as File action template
  • In the connectors interface, under XForms Pro > Connectors in the main navigation bar.

Whichever way you access the create connector interface, you'll need to specify a number of fields:

Name Description Mandatory
Title The name of the connector Yes
Type FTP, SFTP, SCP or This Web Server Yes
Hostname The address of the target system Yes (apart from This Web Server)
Port The port to connect to on the target system Yes (apart from This Web Server)
Username The username to sign in with on the target system Yes (apart from This Web Server)
Password The password to sign in with on the target system Yes (apart from This Web Server)
Timeout The time allowed to connect to the target system No
Directory The directory to place the file on the target system Yes (This Web Server only)
