User account prefill
You may wish to save customers time by prefilling personal information questions with data they provided when signing up to your website. If they entered their name and email when registering for an account, we can use this information to populate some questions, so the customer doesn't need to fill these in.
To configure this:
When in the form designer, click Advanced > Prefills in the top navigation bar (under the form title).
Click Add Prefill. The create interface will open.
Select the question to be prefilled.
Select one of the User variables as the place to get the value of the prefill from, e.g. User - Forename.
The prefill will be created and added to the list.
Questions prefilled with account information may be empty when the form is started. This happens for one of two reasons:
- the customer is not signed in
- when they registered, the customer omitted certain pieces of personal data.
In such situations, customers can still enter their details into these questions as usual.
