Continuum JCP v5.0.0
MAJOR RELEASE: New JCP release packaged with CMS #123 (20.1.0) and XFP #118 (7.2.0). This is a major version update and includes breaking changes.
This JCP release (5.0.0) is packaged with CMS #123 (20.1.0) and XFP #118 (7.2.0). Please see the relevant Release Notes pages for those changes:
NOTE: The "Templates" patch MUST be applied first for this version. Please see the XFP Developer Guidance (also noted on the xfp-release page) for any Custom Developments which could be affected: https://www.jadu.net/support/manuals/xfp-developer-guide/upgrade-guides/to-7.0.0.html.
Change notes from JCP 4.5.0 to JCP 5.0.0:
- Updated “Property Display Sets” and “Property Access Control Sets” module pages to use Symfony 3.4 and new common list pattern. These interfaces have been updated and tested for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance. Functionality remains unchanged.
- Updated SAML User Adapter for Symfony 3.4 and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance. Functionality remains unchanged.
- Updated Integrations > Perceptive Content settings page for Symfony 3.4 and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance. Functionality remains unchanged.
- Perceptive Content Widgets (Search, View, and Worklist View) have been updated for Symfony 3.4 and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance. Functionality remains unchanged.
- Changed behavior of the category column. Previous behavior would see the category column shown by default unless specifically set to not show by setting the homepage setting “Hide Taxonomy” to “Yes” or the page being accessed was a hardcoded list of scripts. The behavior is now to hide the column unless “Page structure” is set to “Two Column”. Note, “Hide Taxonomy” was renamed to “Page structure” in the CMS 20.0.0 update.
- Fixed an issue where perceptive action fails for Document Types that include "&" in the Name field.
- As this is a major version update there are a number of deprecations and deletions that may possibly affect custom developments. Custom developments shouldn’t be using any of the code that has changed as they’re not promoted APIs we recommend using in custom developments. These deprecations and deletions are documented in Continuum CMS Symfony Upgrade Guide and XFP 7.0.0 Developer Guidance.
- Also please note we have upgraded the included JQuery library. If forms are using snippets to enhance the functionality and the snippet is using JQuery, these snippets may need to be updated following the patch if the snippets are using JQuery and were written to require a specific older version of JQuery.
Along with each patch including this one, Jadu publishes a Customer Guidance Note including patch pre-requisites and step-by-step patching details, which can be found here: Content Portal Patching Notes.
Content Portal Guidance Notes contain in-depth guides for various areas of the software.
