Continuum JCP v5.2.0
New JCP release packaged with CMS #123 (20.1.0) and XFP #120 (7.4.0). As with all 5.x releases, patch the templates first.
This JCP release (5.2.0) is packaged with CMS #123 (20.1.0) and XFP #120 (7.4.0). Please see the relevant Release Notes pages for those changes:
NOTE: On LAMP systems it is important that the database version is updated to MariaDB 10.1 prior to patching; failing to do this will result in migration failures during deployment. This is noted in the CGN document as a prerequisite but could easily be missed, so we are flagging it here.
NOTE: The "Templates" patch MUST be applied first for this version. Please see the XFP Developer Guidance (also noted on the xfp-release page) for any Custom Developments which could be affected: https://www.jadu.net/support/manuals/xfp-developer-guide/upgrade-guides/to-7.0.0.html.
Change notes from JCP 5.1.1 to JCP 5.2.0:
- Updated XFP version from 7.3.1 to 7.4.0. XFP 7.4.0 contains a number of important bug fixes and I would recommend all customers update to this version when available.
- Fixes an issue where user-uploaded files could be included in an email template that does not include the file upload question placeholder.
- Fixes an issue where saved database connections could be corrupted after updating to XFP 7.0.0 or above.
Along with each patch, Jadu publishes a Customer Guidance Note including patch pre-requisites and step-by-step patching details, which can be found here: Content Portal Patching Notes.
Content Portal Guidance Notes contain in-depth guides for various areas of the software. Finally, here is a link to the Content Portal Implementation Guide, which has information such as the implementation process, server specs, supported versions of infrastructure, etc... https://www.jadu.net/support/manuals/cp-implementation-guide/
