Continuum XFP #99

Introduction of the form enabled/disabled toggle.

This Release:

Sometimes you may need to take all your forms offline during scheduled maintenance, content migration or during exceptional circumstances. Prior to this release, the process for taking forms offline involved configuring redirects on the server to redirect the traffic. This required server level access.

The new setting introduced in this release, allows site administrators to disable forms from the Control Centre by toggling a new setting in the XForms Pro > Settings pages.

Administrator privileges will need to be updated to allow access to the General Settings tab within the Settings pages. Access to the Settings pages are not added to any administrator account upon deployment and will require you to update the administrators permissions, as necessary, inline with your site governance procedures.

When disabled all forms will show a message saying the form is not available at this time.

Legacy and new forms over the public web, internal form and embedded channels are taken offline when forms are disabled. To bring forms back online, simply toggle the switch back to being enabled and save.

Our next release XFP #100 (releasing on 4th March 2019) will perform some database maintenance. To ensure data integrity, the forms must be offline during the deployment. Moving forward, all XFP patches will require forms to be offline before patching can commence.
