Jadu Net Zero Commitment

Jadu Net Zero Strategy & SECR Commitment

Our Commitment

Jadu is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. As a UK-headquartered software company with a globally distributed, remote workforce, we recognise both our responsibility and opportunity to act on climate change. We’ve taken bold steps to make a real impact by moving to a fully remote workforce and making online meetings our standard approach.

We will align our environmental reporting with the UK Government’s Environmental Reporting Guidelines, including the Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) framework, ensuring transparent disclosure of our energy use, carbon emissions, and progress on efficiency improvements.

All Jadu employees are required to complete the compulsory Environmental Awareness training on a yearly basis to ensure that we continue to educate our team on the positive impact they can make to the environment by making small (and big!) changes to their everyday lives.

We are deeply committed to giving back to communities by supporting, educating, and implementing environmental initiatives that enable them to thrive. Promoting biodiversity and raising awareness are integral parts of our Social Value commitments, and we are proud to embed these wherever possible.

Our Net Zero Roadmap

2025–2029: Establishing the Baseline

  • Complete a full carbon footprint assessment.
  • Introduce SECR-aligned annual reporting, disclosing energy use, emissions, and intensity ratios.
  • Formalise a sustainable procurement framework.

2030–2040: Scaling Reductions

  • Embed energy efficiency standards across all operations and supply chain partners.
  • Transition all data centre and cloud partners to 100% renewable energy.
  • Offset residual emissions through verified carbon removal and biodiversity projects.

2040–2050: Achieving Net Zero

  • Reduce operational and supply chain emissions to near zero.
  • Apply advanced carbon removal solutions for unavoidable residual emissions.
  • Ensure all new products and services undergo sustainability impact assessments.
  • Achieve verified Net Zero status by 2050.

Governance & Accountability

  • Board Oversight: Responsibility for climate strategy and SECR compliance sits with the Board as part of our corporate governance agenda.
  • Employee Engagement: Training and guidance will empower employees to contribute to carbon reduction through sustainable practices.
  • Verification: Third-party assurance will be sought for emissions data and Net Zero progress to ensure transparency and credibility.

Beyond Compliance

  • While SECR sets the baseline, Jadu is committed to going further. We will:
  • Report beyond the UK where global operations are material.
  • Explore wider environmental impacts, such as biodiversity, waste, and water use.
  • Support employees worldwide in reducing their home-working footprint.
  • Encourage and collaborate with suppliers on their own Net Zero journeys.

Looking Beyond 2050

Achieving Net Zero is a milestone, not an endpoint. Jadu will continue to drive innovation in sustainable digital services, support our customers in reducing their environmental impacts, and work towards becoming a climate-positive organisation.
