Introducing Jadu Creative, your questions answered
Why change the name?
We loved the name ‘Spacecraft Creative’, but ‘Jadu Creative’ better reflects that we’re very much a part of the Jadu Group of companies. Our customers also often refer to us as ‘Jadu’.
With accessibility at the forefront of our vision for both companies, and being a significant need for our customers, we felt this was the right time to unify under the Jadu brand and ensure we’re driving towards digital inclusion on the web.
Is this JUST a name change?
Yes. This is something that’s happened over time and is based on customer feedback. It makes sense as it reflects the way we currently operate as a business, rather than being a big rebrand to launch a new direction.
While Jadu and Jadu Creative will still operate as two separate companies, the name change creates unity, strengthens our identity and is a simpler way for our customers, suppliers and potential clients to work and communicate with us.
Has the aim changed since Spacecraft launched as its own agency?
When Spacecraft ‘launched’ as its own company, the separation freed Jadu to work with other digital design agencies and Spacecraft to work with other software providers. Whereas this has happened on occasion, the two have remained closely linked.
A key reason is that Jadu software is uniquely focused on retention, customer satisfaction, and positive user experience rather than purely customer capture. This is hugely important in the Public and Higher Education sectors and has therefore made it the inevitable platform of choice for Spacecraft/Jadu Creative, which primarily serves the same sectors. That hasn’t and won’t change.
Will Jadu Creative still work with non-Jadu platforms/software?
Yes. Becoming a standalone agency meant we were, and continue to be free to partner with other software companies (as Jadu is free to partner with other design agencies).
It’s only natural that we find ourselves working very closely with Jadu software as it’s what many of our customers want and chose to use.
Why ‘Jadu Creative’?
We were already Spacecraft Creative, but often referred to as just Spacecraft or Jadu. This brings the names together.
We focus on designing, developing and delivering websites that connect users with organisations using eye-tracking research, persona-based profiling and customer journey analysis. It’s our job to take those tools and to create amazing web experiences. We’re a creative agency and we want to unify and strengthen our brand by being identified as Jadu. Therefore it just made sense. Introducing, Jadu Creative.
Why now?
With accessibility at the forefront of our vision for both companies and being a significant need for our customers, in particular in the Local Government and Higher Education Sectors, we felt this was the right time to unify and ensure we’re driving towards digital inclusion on the web.
Will there be any change to the way both companies operate?
No, both companies will operate the same and will financially remain as separate companies. Internally our operations across Jadu and Spacecraft currently crossover, this name change makes a lot of sense internally too.
Do I as a customer need to do anything to align with the name change?
We would appreciate if you could change the reference to Spacecraft to Jadu in your website’s footer as following:
Jadu CMS only (no design): Remain as ‘Powered by Jadu’
Jadu CMS and Designed by Jadu Creative: Change to ‘Powered and designed by Jadu’
Jadu Creative design only: Change to ‘Designed by Jadu’
We'll also contact your Accounts team to let them know if they need to update their accounts system.
When I contact Jadu and I want to speak to someone from Jadu Creative, what do I say?
