Pendle Borough Council Selects Jadu eGov Content Server to deploy devolved content management

Pendle, Lancashire, 20 December 2004. Pendle Borough Council have started implementation of Jadu eGov Content Server to replace their existing website CMS and Intranet.

Implementing using the Debian Linux operating system for both Internet and Intranet systems - Pendle Borough Council will be using the standard build, offering complete devolved content management, online forms, FAQs, eCouncillors, online recruitment and eMarketing.

As neighbours Ribble Valley Borough Council have proved, hosting the website internally has meant a near zero cost of ownership for Pendle.

Paul Johnson, Local Authority Content Manager at Jadu, is involved in the content migration and population and training: "Jadu's fast-track content packs will be used to get Pendle to a go live situation very soon.

We feel confident that they will have achieved 100% of the area of BVPI 157 that relates to making information available".

Jadu's fastrack content pack includes a full database for marketing, links, generic content and an A-Z based on a Local Authority customised PID. The A-Z content is normally derived from the LAWS generic content to provide a starting basis.

This is then completely revised and re-written to link into rich content within the CMS.

'The take up of the Jadu eGov CS software has be tremendous. Our focus on delivery of the Priority Outcomes has provided a CMS that nothing else in our market can come close to.'
