Jadu's PlanX systems scores full points for Kettering and Lichfield Councils

Lichfield District Council and Kettering Borough Council have both scored the full 21 Pendleton points for delivery of planning information and services. Both Councils use the Jadu PlanX module...

The Pendleton Assessment, commissioned by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM), is a rigorous test that scored all local authority websites against 21 planning related criteria - from the ability to pay online, to online access to planning meeting agendas, meetings and minutes.

Both councils planning and development teams scored 21 out of 21, and in March, an unconfirmed amount of Planning Delivery Grant, which recognises achievements in the planning field made by local authorities, will be awarded to the Councils in recognition of its achievement.

Stephen Hill, Development Executive at Lichfield District Council, explained: "In October we never expected we would achieve 21 Pendleton Points, but with Jadu Plan X, in just 6 short weeks we managed to achieve the level of web services - from viewing documents and drawings, to monitoring the progress of applications.

The implementation of Plan X went smoothly and the team at Jadu resolved a good number of 'teething' problems immediately, as well as tailoring the system to meet our individual needs. We're proud that our website has now been confirmed as a really useful source of planning information for residents and businesses in the district, and that we've achieved top marks for e-service delivery."

Jadu have developed planning publishing systems PlanX and PlanXLive for Local Authorities for over two years - Kettering's Customer Services Manager - Marion Goodman said: "KBC have been using PlanX to publish planning applications for 2 years and we have over 18 years of planning information online and fully searchable... we also integrated KBC's Jadu ePay system with the Planning Portal just before December 2005, giving our customers a fully rounded online planning service."

"Jadu have committed permanent resources within our Local Authority delivery team to ensure that we have the sharpest content knowledge possible to be able to assist out partners in delivering excellence." Says Suraj Kika. CEO of Jadu.

"Both Lichfield and Kettering used this knowledge to the full, allowing us to assist in structure and layout of planning content as well as recommending key integrations that would help deliver key pendleton criteria by December's deadline."

"Whatever the challenge our partners face - we are with them. Our mission to deliver excellence goes way beyond providing software services."
