South Gippsland Shire Council on a Journey Towards Digital First Service Delivery

South Gippsland councils website

South Gippsland Shire is home to almost 30,000 residents in a geographical area covering over 3,000 square kilometres.

Its council website had been built up over many years and, as bits and pieces were added, had become difficult to maintain and hard to use.

The council wanted to begin its digital transformation with a new customer-focussed website that was accessible on all devices, provided positive user experiences and fully met the expectations of the community.

Choosing Jadu for its new website, South Gippsland Shire Council now has a modern and reliable platform on which to easily publish and manage content. It is also able to efficiently deliver customer services through the web, and has increased digital engagement in the community.

The council is looking to further harness the Jadu platform to develop community consultation and engagement programmes, and to extend forms-based transactional capabilities.

When the new website went live, we were very excited to see what that might bring as far as comments from users go. To my great delight, everything we got was praise. Straight away, our customers were able to use the platform to pay their bills. Instead of coming in and lining up, they can now go online.
